East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) and LBV to host business networking event on 22 February 2019 at Friars Mill in Leicester
Local businesses will get an opportunity to learn more about investment in Leicester and Leicestershire at a major business networking event in Leicester in February.
The event, co-hosted by Leicestershire Business Voice (LBV) and East Midlands Chamber, will take place from 12-2pm on 22 February 2019 at Friars Mill, Bath Lane, Leicester LE3 5BJ.
This ‘Investment in Leicestershire’ joint event will explore the impact of the Midlands Engine to date and where engagement can improve; how activity under the Midlands Engine brand adds value to the work of LEPs, local authorities and others; and realising the potential of the East Midlands in a post-Brexit economy.
External speakers at the event will include:
Chris Hobson, Director of Policy at East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire), said:
“Investment is the key to success. Without investment, there is no growth and without growth the economy stagnates, or worse.“Networking events like Investment in Leicestershire gives business a chance to discover what local investment plans exist and to discuss in an open forum how they can and should work together for the good of the city, the county and the region.”
Jane Cowley, Chair of LBV added:
“This is the first of our 2019 networking events for local businesses and we’re delighted to be hosting it in conjunction with the East Midlands Chamber. Attendees will be able to find out more about how the Midlands Engine is developing and the investment opportunities available for regional businesses.”
The Investment in Leicestershire event is free to LBV members and will cost £15 to non-members*. The event is ticket-only and tickets can be reserved in advance here.
