Innovation Week 2019 - Get Invovled

Leicester Innovation week returns for 2019, presenting opportunities to attend innovative events, meet with university experts and learn from the innovation journeys of some of Leicestershire’s top companies.

The 4th to 8th March offers a week of exciting opportunity for businesses, universities and business support organisations to work together and collectively showcase Leicester and Leicestershire as the home of innovation.

The aim

Innovation Week aims to raise the aspirations of local businesses, help them to identify the support available and encourage more businesses to invest in research and development to create and launch innovative products and services leading to greater business profitability and skilled jobs.

What’s happening?

There are several events taking place during the week where:

• A launch event at the new MIRA Technology Institute near Hinckley will start the week off.


• The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) will host a roundtable event about innovation and the Local Industrial Strategy.


• Businesses will put a spotlight on their cutting edge innovations.


• Universities will showcase their research and development excellence, expertise and facilities that support innovation.


• Business and innovation support organisations will share details of their help and funding to engage potential beneficiaries and enable collaborative R & D.
